Hotel Resol Gifu

I really enjoyed my 6 day stay here. The staff provide highly quality, friendly service. It was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The room had a wonderful view of the mountains and castle in the distance. Being able to take a bath with quality bath salts and toiletries every night was appreciated. The location is fantastic as it is very close to 2 train stations, making day trips easy. Gifu itself is also a lovely city with plenty to do and see, and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Would stay here again.

I’ve stayed in a few hotels so far on this trip and this was definitely my favourite so far. The room was bright, spacious, well equipped and felt very relaxed and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower great. There was coffee and tea in the room, so no having to go down to reception/an amenities bar to get some, when you’re tired after a long journey and in need of a cuppa. View from my window was fab - you could see Gifu Castle way in the distance on top of the mountain. The staff were lovely - very friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Breakfast was great, with a wide variety of food, and a spacious, comfortable dining area. The restaurant staff too went out of their way to be helpful. Location is excellent - just a 5 minute or so walk to Gifu Station, and it’s a really interesting area to explore. Lots of restaurants and izakayas nearby (but it wasn’t noisy near the hotel).

Very friendly staff. Great value for money and for the price the room was very good and clean. Our room had a great view of the castle perched on the mountain a few miles away. A bag of new towels, toiletries and tea and coffee was on our door the second day. Good location close to many restaurants. The station is very close by too - maybe 5 mins walk. Parking is in the car park next to the hotel which seemed very safe and easy to use to walk to the hotel.

Super comfortable bed in spotlessly clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast was absolutely sensational. Huge range of both Japanese and Western options, all of them delicious! Excellent value for 1500 yen. There's not much going on in Gifu, but we discovered a great eatery strip just a couple of streets away, which offered a welcome splash of colour and life. Highly recommend the chicken yakitori place! If we were staying longer in Gifu, we would have taken advantage of the hotel's bicycle hire option.

Location was super! Everything was very close to the hotel! The trains stations, the bus station, restaurants and bars. Simple hotel, lovely stay, everything was provided properly.
